Mitre Singapore is proud to announce the signing of a sponsorship agreement with Yosuke Nozawa, goalkeeper of Albirex Niigata (S) Football Club. Nozawa is currently the first choice goalkeeper and captain for the reigning TNP League Cup 2015 Champions.
The 35-year old was a youth trainee from J.League club Shimizu S-Pulse before signing a professional contract with them in 1998. He subsequently turned out for Albirex Niigata Football Club in Japan and played a crucial role in helping the club achieve promotion to J.League Division 1 in 2004. He made a total of 188 appearances for the White Swans before signing for Shonan Bellmare Football Club in 2009. Nozawa then joined Matsumoto Yamaga in 2012 before coming to Singapore earlier this year.
“I am grateful to Mitre for this sponsorship contract. The gloves are an indispensable item for goalkeepers. The performance of a goalkeeper is deeply related to the result of matches. I will do my best to be an essential player for Mitre and Albirex,” Nozawa said with regards to the sponsorship.
Nozawa’s signing is also warmly welcomed by Mr Alfred Toh, General Manager of Mitre/TeamWork Sports LLP.
“We are very happy to have Nozawa joining our team of endorsees which include former Australian number one Mark Schwarzer, Philippines National Team goalkeeper Neil Etheridge and Daniel Ong of Singapore’s Warriors Football Club,” said Mr Toh.
The sponsorship will start with immediate effect and will see Nozawa supplied with the Anza G2 Pro Negative gloves until the end of 2015.
